Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin’s whirlwind romance definitely surprised everyone, even fans. After Miranda’s divorce with fellow country musician Blake Shelton in 2015, no one knew that she had been seeing anyone. She had everything kept under wraps and only revealed the relationship when she got hitched.

Everything may have happened quickly, but it seems like the couple are still very much in love and going strong (despite rumors that they are already divorced). So, let’s take a look back from their day one and also get to know more about Miranda’s new husband.

First Chapter: A New Beginning In Love

It’s no surprise that country musicians marry within the same circle. Working in the same industry, relationships develop naturally, and some even grow into romantic ones. But working together on something you both love doesn’t always guarantee that it will work. Some made it work like Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, but some didn’t like Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.

The couple tied the knot in 2011, but after almost five years of marriage, the two announced that they were splitting up. Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband Shelton started dating fellow musician Gwen Stefani in 2015, while Lambert did not start dating again until 2016 with Anderson East, then two years later with Turnpike Troubadours guitarist Evan Felker. Although things didn’t go so well back then as the relationship was wrapped up in issues and complications.

A few months after that, it seems like fate had something in store for her. She met Brendan McLoughlin during her appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America” in New York City. At that time, Lambert, along with fellow Pistol Annies bandmates, were promoting their album while McLoughlin worked as crowd control.

Her girlfriends spotted him and invited him to their show behind her back and even arranged for a meetup. And even though she was one of the biggest names in country music, she was still very nervous to talk to him, but in the end, it worked out.

Lambert and McLoughlin started seeing each other, but they kept their relationship so private that no one even suspected they were dating! And on January 26, 2019, the two tied the knot in Davidson County, Tennessee. Although Lambert only announced her marriage on Twitter and Instagram just a little after Valentine’s Day that year.

In an interview with People, Lambert explained that she wanted to keep everything private as much as she could, especially with how things turned out with her first marriage being so public.

Who is Miranda Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin?

Everyone was surprised with Lambert’s sudden news about getting married, and with that came curiosity about her mystery man.

Brendan McLoughlin was born on October 14, 1991 in Staten Island, New York City to parents James McLoughlin and Inova Valerio McLoughlin. He is the youngest of three siblings (with a brother named Patrick and a sister named Jocelyn). He attended Monsignor Farrell High School, where he participated in a lot of sports, including indoor track, and he even competed for field state championships.

During the early 2010s, he pursued modeling but later on followed the footsteps of his mom, who was a former NYPD Detective. He joined the police force and was assigned to the South Midtown Precinct near Times Square. He was very active in his job, and with his looks, he was even featured in many photos of the NYPD shared to different social media platforms.

But his overnight fame being married to one of country music’s biggest stars also surfaced not so good things about his past. He once headlined due to cheating accusations brought forward by Carol Bruno, mom of Jackie Bruno. According to her, the two were engaged, but Brendan cheated on her then got another girl pregnant. True enough, Brendan welcomed his first child named Landon with ex Kaihla Rettinger (the girl he allegedly cheated with Jackie) just three days after he met the Grammy-winning singer.

Though the two may have had relationship issues in the past, those definitely did not stop them from building a life together. And though the two met in New York City, Nashville was still Lambert’s home, so McLoughlin shifted careers from being an NYPD police officer to Lambert’s official security.

As of 2021, his net worth is currently estimated at $500,000.

Second Chapter: Building A Life Together

The couple was definitely excited to build a life together. As of now, the two split their time between New York and Nashville. Whenever they’re in Nashville, they like to take some relaxing time at Lambert’s farm and just live a quiet life. Then they also spend some time in New York, where they get to see McLoughlin’s son Landon. And Lambert seemed to really enjoy her new role as a stepmom.

In an interview with Extra, she said that she had adjusted to being a stepmom. She gushed at how Landon was just so amazing and that she was loving the whole phase. Since she had already raised a lot of dogs, she felt like the womanly and motherly thing within her was already full. And this new chapter of being a stepmom was a whole new journey.

Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin are definitely enjoying life. In fact, McLoughlin featured in one of Miranda Lambert songs titled “Settling Down,” where they starred as a lovestruck couple which was exactly how they are in real life.
