Can you imagine Kelly Clarkson singing Travis Tritt’s feisty single “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)?”

The country superstar proves over and over again that she can truly sing just about anything. On The Kelly Clarkson Show, she takes the stage to perform Kellyoke covers of hit songs – and she never fails to blow us away. She took our breath away with her renditions of country hits like Kelsea Ballerini’s “Peter Pan,” Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing,” Reba McEntire’s “Why Haven’t I Heard From You,” and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”

It’s no surprise that the Emmy-winning talk show host can bring down the house by giving a ’90s tune some modern feel! For one episode, Clarkson picked to deliver her own take on Travis Tritt’s “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” – and she didn’t hold anything back in her performance. She delivered it full of confidence and passion that the crowd seemed to totally enjoy.

Not only that, but Clarkson perfectly showcased her soulful voice, giving the track a new power and at the same time putting her country roots into the spotlight. Indeed, it was a dynamic performance.

A Feisty Song For A Powerful Singer

“Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” was released in 1991 as the lead-off single to Travis Tritt’s sophomore album, It’s All About to Change. The singer wrote the feisty ballad many years before he came to Music City – when he was still dreaming of being a country star, doing a regular job, and grieving the end of his second marriage. Little did he know it would become one of the biggest hits of his career, peaking at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Now, make sure you watch Kelly Clarkson‘s performance of “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” and see for yourself how amazing it is.
