This is the very first nomination as a duo for the country stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are no strangers to the Academy of Country Music Awards. Each has won several times in the past years. McGraw won “Male Vocalist of the Year” twice in 1999 and 2000. On the other hand, Hill won “Female Vocalist of the Year” thrice in 1999 to 2001. All in all, over the course of their careers, both have a combined 34 prizes. 18 for McGraw and 16 for Hill. But this year, they are nominated for “Vocal Duo of the Year,” their very first nomination as a duo at Academy of Country Music Awards. Do you think they will win? Do you think their joint-force will bag the victory? Let’s have faith in them.
As A Duo…
McGraw and Hill have collaborated numerous times throughout their careers. Both have been musically and personally inclined as they were married since 1996. They have already won multiple awards at ACM. As a matter of fact, their duet “It’s Your Love” acquired them awards such as “Single Record of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Video of the Year,” and “Vocal Event of the Year” in 1998. Then again in 1999, they claimed “Vocal Event of the Year” for the song “Just To Hear You Say You Love Me.”
The defending champion is the Brothers Osborne. Will they still bring home the bacon for the second time around? Or will Hill and McGraw’s powers steal the prize? Amongst the other nominees are Dan and Shay, Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line, and LOCASH.
Who do you think will take home the “Vocal Duo of the Year” title this year? Tune in to the Academy of Country Music Awards for it will once again take place in the MGM Grand’s Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The 2018 show will air live on Sunday, April 15 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on CBS.
For the meantime, listen to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “It’s Your Love”.
