Morgan Wallen Came Back a Better Man After Some Time Off

  • Prior to joining Country Thang Daily, Arden wrote for Billboard and People magazine, covering country music legends and emerging artists.
  • Arden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Tennessee, with a minor in Music Studies.

Morgan Wallen is finally back after spending nearly a month’s rest from the spotlight. That’s when “More than my Hometown” singer was pulled out from Saturday Night Live’s line-up for breaking some of the health protocols.

How Things Got Messy for Wallen

After photos and videos of Wallen appeared partying with people without wearing a mask, this alarmed many. He was seen in close proximity with people after an Alabama game, even kissing various women which were clear violations of the imposed SNL health protocols.

The incident came after several months of ups and downs for Wallen in 2020. This includes his recent singles “More Than My Home Town” and “Chasin You” becoming radio hits and “7 Summers” finding commercial success. The success of his album was undeniable because it remained on the top 3 of Billboard’s Country Album Chart and expectations are high for his future albums.

Unfortunately, Wallen was silenced after an arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct at Kid Rock’s bar in May.

Much Head Space Now

After controversies surrounded Morgan Wallen, he had things that he, himself, took note of. During his self-imposed break, Wallen had the chance to unplugged himself from his Nashville life.

According to Wallen, he took some break from his dense life and literally avoided his phone and turned it off. It’s not clear though where the country star took his time off. He just went somewhere that’s beyond everyone’s radar. He is, of course, totally fine and just needed to address some issues within himself. Wallen saw that spending some time off for reflection was beneficial for him and for his future endeavors.

Now that everything’s settled, there are more things that we should look forward to about Morgan Wallen. The country artist is set to perform in this year’s CMA Awards. For Wallen, the CMA this year will mark a high note for him after the incident and he is excited to be in it.

Wallen also surprised everyone in his socials after announcing that he is officially now a father and with a sweet caption.

“I promise I’ll always protect you, and do my best to be an example of a good, godly man just like my daddy was for me.”
