In 2019, country superstar duo Brooks & Dunn announced that they would be collaborating with rising country star Lanco for the remake of the classic hit song “Mama Don’t Get Dressed Up For Nothing” as part of their album Reboot.

The song was originally released in 1996 and has become a staple hit among country music lovers and aspiring singers. It was considered one of Brooks & Dunn’s great releases in their career.

Their announcement of the collaboration with Lanco surprised many fans, considering Lanco was one of the rising artists then. Lanco gave a new flavor to the song, adding his unique style. In one video posted on Twitter, Brooks mentioned that while they were working on the remake, Lanco did this little cool descending riff on the acoustic that was so soothing to the ears.

Since this gave the song a fresh sound, Ronnie immediately picked up on it, eventually resulting in the beautiful remake of the classic hit song.

Brooks & Dunn’s Performance With Lanco

During their 2019 CMT performance, Brooks & Dunn and Lanco gave the audience one of the most powerful and burning performances of “Mama Don’t Get Dressed Up For Nothing.”

As the duo went on to introduce their guest for the day, the loud cheers of the audience echoed throughout the event. Lanco also did a great job hyping everyone up. Using his raspy country voice, Lanco ensured that their performance had no dull moments.

Although he is quite new to the country music scene, Lanco doesn’t seem to act like it at all. In fact, he is so good that he performs like a veteran, just like Brooks & Dunn does.

So, don’t miss out on the fun. Watch Brooks & Dunn’s performance of “Mama Don’t Get Dressed Up for Nothing” with Lanco below.
