Glen Campbell’s Track Appears in the MCU

The movie Guardians of the Galaxy is loved by the MCU fans for their quirky characters, amazing storyline, and great soundtracks. The lead character was played by actor, Chris Pratt. In the movie, he is a big fan of the ‘80s and ‘90s music. He only has his old Walkman as his music source, so it would be natural for him to listen to the classics.

Just like the infinity stones, it was hard to track down which songs are being played during the movie. Luckily, we were able to spot Glen Campbell’s “Southern Nights” during the funny scene of Rocket while he was attacking the enemy. And just like Rocket, we were enjoying the music. It was very upbeat and in tune with the scene that was unfolding.

Country Music in Movies

It is always great to spot country music being used in movies. It is even better when they get featured in big movies such as the ones from MCU because of the big fan base that they have. This would bring more attention to country music especially to the newer fans.

Glen Campbell is only one of the few artists who got the chance, so we could only hope for more movies to use classic songs. This will really help the newer fans of music be more acquainted with the hits from the ‘60s to the ‘90s. Check out all the other great songs from the movie here.
