Aaron Watson has been around for a while, but he is making a big comeback. Take note, he does not sound like the typical country-pop that we hear from other contemporary artists like Dan + Shay, Zac Brown Band, and Kacey Musgraves.

In his debut performance of his song at the Grand Ole Opry, he showed that he got the traditional sound that we grew up hearing from the likes of George Strait, Hank Williams, and Willie Nelson.

Aaron Watson at the Opry Stage

A lot of country artists dream of performing at the prestigious stage of the Grand Ole Opry. Performing at the Opry becomes a rite of passage to all country artists wanting to make it big. Aaron Watson did really well in his performance. His baritone voice shined through.

He also rocked a good cowboy hat with a red handkerchief tied on his neck. He is proficient with guitar-playing, so he decided to showcase it. It was obvious that the singer is comfortable performing at a big stage. He was really feeling the song and was calm all throughout.

“Country Radio”

They could sing ’em all, two-part harmony tune
Like Loretta and Conway, Johnny and June

And thirty years later, I’ve got three kids and my wife
Their love song’s a legacy, the soundtrack of my life

Aaron Watson reminds us of some country legends that we love. This might mean that just like us, he misses the kind of music that they make and he wishes that their legacy will be preserved and continued. This track is also a reflection of how one’s life starts at birth and suddenly turns into a life as an adult with responsibilities.

Times are changing, and it is changing really fast. We have to seize every moment of our lives and live the best out of it.
