Willie Nelson again heads the top Bluegrass Albums for November 2023 with his album Bluegrass, released on September 15, 2023. It is Nelson’s first full album of bluegrass music, and it pulled twelve tracks from his massive catalog – at the same time, he handpicked a group of crack musicians.

He enlisted his long-time producer Buddy Cannon to help him refashion his songs into more vibrant and resonant Appalachian music.

Top 10 Bluegrass Albums: October 2023 | September 2023 | August 2023 | July 2023 | June 2023 | May 2023 | April 2023 | March 2023 | February 2023 | January 2023 |

The album has been nominated in the category for Best Bluegrass Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, Trampled By Turtles’ Alpenglow has re-entered the list. It’s no surprise as the album, which features songs about longing to wander, maintaining roots, nostalgia, and loss, is artfully crafted to highlight the distinctive vocal sound of the band’s six members and live up to Trampled By Turtles’ live performances.
