Nickel Creek’s fifth studio album Celebrants tops the top bluegrass albums for July 2023. It is actually the California bluegrass trio’s first release since 2014, during which members Chris Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins pursued solo careers and other projects. However, now they are back with an album they refer to as the most ambitious, expansive, and adventurous one of their career.

Meanwhile, the GRAMMY Award-winning band Old Crow Medicine Show is back with its album Paint This Town by Old re-enters. It appears that listeners just can’t get enough of its breathtaking songs that reflect the old-time folk band’s usual blend of inspiration and giving up. In addition to that, Old Crow Medicine Show’s new album Live At Third Man Records entered the list.
