The top bluegrass albums for May 2023 are headed by Tommy Emmanuel’s Accomplice Two. Just like the first album, the long-awaited sequel comes with the same excitement, variety, and sense of adventure.

It also has an impressive roster of artists, such as bluegrass superstars Billy Strings, Sam Bush, and Jerry Douglas. The two-time Grammy-nominated acoustic guitar virtuoso also enlisted country icons like Jamey Johnson and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to make things even more thrilling.

Meanwhile, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are not going anywhere! Their album Raise The Roof holds the second spot nice and steady. The rock and roll legend and bluegrass torchbearer even reunited on tour again in support of the album – and fans can’t help but be thrilled.

Nickel Creek’s Celebrants also made it this month’s top bluegrass albums – which is said to be the band’s most ambitious release yet. It’s composed of songs that offer another world for listeners. They are nuanced and honest!
