Cole Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone, is keeping fans on their toes with his Instagram updates, sharing a few teases as the series gets back to production.
In the middle of November last year, Hauser even gave a major reveal by simply posting a snapshot on his Instagram account, showing what seems to be a script lying on a table – bearing the title of his forthcoming film, Panama. Hauser then wrote in the caption, explaining that he’s already done working on Yellowstone’s fourth season, and it is time for him to hop on a plane to meet an entirely different cast and production.
The actor has also shared a few behind-the-scenes photos for the upcoming season, making the wait a little more bearable.
But in the meantime, here are some fast facts about the man who plays our favorite Yellowstone character.
1. He Has Strong Family Ties On The Entertainment Industries.
Born on March 22, 1975, in Santa Barbara, California, Cole Hauser‘s mother is Cass Warner, the founder and the president of the production company, Warner Sisters. His father, on the other hand, is Wings Hauser, who pursued a career in music for a decade before becoming an actor.
Both of Hauser’s grandfathers were also from the entertainment industry. Grandpa Milton Sperling was involved in more than fifty films and has earned two Academy Award nominations. At the same time, grandpa Dwight Hauser was a writer, producer, and actor behind several notable films.
Not only that, but the actor’s great-grandpa was Harry M. Warner, who was one of the founders of Warner Brothers and a major contributor to the development of the film industry.
2. He grew up on a ranch.
Cole Hauser spent most of his younger years on a family ranch in Oregon, wherein he recalled spending most of his time outdoors filled with horseback riding, wandering around with cows and all other types of animals they owned. He even owned a horse named Cinnamon.
3. He has a long and remarkable career in acting.
Cole Hauser made his big-screen debut in the 1992 sports-drama film School Ties, where several other then up and coming actors had their head start – including Brendan Fraser, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Chris O’Donnell.
4. He’s a father of three.
In 2006, Cole Hauser married American actress Cynthia Daniel who has been famous for her role as Elizabeth Wakefield in the 1990s comedy-drama series Sweet Valley High. The couple was blessed with three children: Ryland, Colt Daniel, and Steely Rose.
5. He was included in the People’s Sexiest Men Alive in 2020.
And he was playful enough to be photographed in a water trough for the magazine’s portfolio with the theme, “Change of Scenery.”
6. He dreams of owning a “nice little island somewhere” someday.
In ten years, Cole Hauser dreams of finding himself lounging on a beach with his wife and kids. He explained that he looks forward to “just going to have our feet up, boat kind of out in the ocean, nothing too crazy. Just enjoying the second half of our life,” Hauser said.
The Western drama television series is now wrapping up its fourth season, and fans are waiting to discover the fates of the main characters, including the future of Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone ranch, who was one of the only characters that left unharmed in the intense final episode.
The lead brute and ranch hand have been one of the TV series’ most valuable characters. But that wouldn’t all be possible without the veteran TV and film actor who plays the role, Cole Hauser.
