Oh, I believe there are Angels Among Us,
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
 teach us how to give
guide us with a light of love.

Alabama’s Heartfelt Performance in 2015

The band Alabama was back in a live performance of a series of Christian gospel songs in 2015. They performed a number of classic gospel hymns that were covered by a number of artists. Some of the songs that they sang were “The Old Rugged Cross”, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “Because He Lives”, and “I Saw the Light”. Of course, their classic hit “Angels Among Us” will never be forgotten.

“Angels Among Us” went on and became a massive hit in 1993. Undeniably, it is one of the most popular gospel songs worldwide. Digging deep into its lyrics, the song draws inspiration from God’s love through His angels. Similarly, it also gives inspiration to those who have become hopeless in life.

In their live performance, Alabama once again gave a different flavor to the song. It was magical and nostalgic. Their performance compared to their original recording was distinct. Thought that it couldn’t have been any better, it was more of an upbeat intro narration leading to the soulful and heartfelt verse and chorus of the song.
