A 1980s Country Hit “When You Say Nothing at All” Performed by Endless Summer

One of those is the song “When You Say Nothing at All.” This country song was performed by some country artists like Keith Whitley, Alison Krauss, and Ronan Keating. This 2019, the song was again performed by the Canadian brother duo, Endless Summer.

Keith Whitley first recorded the song “When You Say Nothing at All” and released it in August 1988 as a single from his album, Don’t Close Your Eyes. Upon its release, the song topped the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. In 2004, the song reached number 12 on the CMT’s 100 Greatest Love Songs.

Don’t Close Your Eyes was Whitley’s second and last studio album released during his career. The album has sold thousands of copies worldwide which became certified gold in America. Thus, it has accumulated three hits on the Hot Country Singles chart, namely “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” “When You Say Nothing at All,” and “I’m No Stranger to the Rain.”

Moreover, the song “When You Say Nothing at All” was considered as one of the best hit classic love songs recorded by Keith Whitley.

Alison Krauss‘ version of the song “When You Say Nothing at All” was released in 1995 as a single from her album, Keith Whitley: A Tribute Album. Upon its release, the song entered the country charts, and it also won a CMA award for Single of the Year. Thus, it became her first single to reach the Top 10 country hit songs in the 90s.

Like Whitley, Krauss’ version of the song has also sold thousands of copies worldwide.

Bob and Clint’s performance was uploaded on their YouTube channel. Their music video has gained more than 24 million views.
