Triumphant Quartet Wins Southern Gospel Album of the Year

Triumphant Quartet is known for its harmonious blend, dedication, and deep faith. This week, the Southern Gospel Album of the Year was awarded to them by the GMA Dove Awards.

Triumphant Quartet

The group consists of David Sutton (tenor), Clayton Inman (lead), Scott Inman (baritone), and Eric Bennett (bass). They first performed in 2003 as a headlining talent at the Louise Mandrell Theater, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. They are known for being the only established full-time Southern Gospel quartet to never change membership among the vocalists.

Triumphant Quartet had five No.1 songs and several others that climbed the Top 40 music charts. They also received four  Album of the Year Awards as well as three Song of the Year Award.

The 50th celebration was a powerful evening paying tribute to 50 years of special appearances and sensational stage highlights over the decades. Performances representing modern Rock, Rap/Hip Hop, Pop/Contemporary, Inspirational, Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, Country, Worship and more made up the evening praising the rich musical diversity from the past, present and future of Gospel and Christian music. Nominees were determined by GMA’s professional members, and winners were voted on by the entire GMA membership.
