Reba McEntire Issues Hilarious Warning to Snoop Dogg After He Blocks Her on The Voice

Reba McEntire came ready to fight for a singer, but Snoop Dogg beat her to the punch and got a Skittles threat in return.

The September 22 episode of The Voice had all the drama of a honky-tonk showdown when Mindy Miller stepped up and sang Lainey Wilson’s powerhouse anthem “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.” From the first few lines, Reba was all in. She sang along, hit her button, and turned her chair with that big Oklahoma smile ready to recruit. But the Queen of Country didn’t get the warm welcome she expected. Instead, her chair lit up with the dreaded word “BLOCKED.”

And the culprit was none other than Snoop Dogg.

Snoop spun his chair first, and when Reba turned, she realized the California rapper had pulled a fast one. Reba jumped out of her seat, marched toward him, and let him have it with the kind of sass only she can pull off. “I’m going to take all your Skittles. No more Skittles for you!” The audience erupted, and Snoop ran to the stage laughing, telling Miller, “I blocked Reba so I could only have you!”

It was classic TV, with Reba playing the fired-up country mama and Snoop grinning like he just stole second base. Even fellow coach Michael Bublé piled on, telling Miller, “If that doesn’t tell you what we think of Reba McEntire and how much of a threat she is, nothing will. Snoop knew if you saw her eyes, it was over.” Niall Horan admitted it was “kind of unfair,” confessing he should have hit his button too, but in the end, “the main man” Snoop ended up winning Miller for his team.

For her part, Reba kept it gracious with the contestant. “I think you’re fantastic,” she told Miller. “Don’t let this bother you at all. Just pretend it’s gone. Congratulations for being here.” That balance of tough humor with a soft heart is why Reba has remained beloved for decades. She can throw a playful threat one second and then pour encouragement the next.

Snoop explained his move with his usual flair. “I heard something and when I turned around I seen something because I felt something, and I knew blocking Reba would be my best chance at getting to you. Once I initiated my roadblock, I was able to pursue you.” In other words, if you want to win on The Voice, you have to block the Queen before she claims her prize.

Backstage, Miller’s family cheered her on, with her young son shouting “Good job, Mom!” as she finished. For viewers, the whole moment felt like a perfect blend of Nashville grit and Hollywood showmanship. A rising country singer taking on Lainey Wilson. Reba tearing up and laughing in the same breath. And Snoop Dogg, shades on, pulling the ultimate strategic heist.

Reba later said in interviews that her goal on the show is not to tear singers down but to lift them up. “We want to inspire. We want to encourage. We want to help, not tear down. They get enough of that out there in the world,” she told iHeartCountry. And on Monday night, even though she got blocked, she still did exactly that.

So Snoop might have won the battle for Mindy Miller, but Reba made sure he knew there is a price. The man better keep his Skittles close, because the Queen of Country is watching.
