If you’re into country music, there’s no doubt that you will love Cody Johnson’s “Wild As You.” It was written by Michael Connors, Trent Willmon, and Jeremy Spillman and was included in the album from Gotta be Me. The song is timeless. Among Cody Johnson’s songs in the album, it is a track you can’t miss because of its pure catchiness.

The country love song expresses Johnson’s deep feelings regarding having a relationship with a permissive and nonchalant woman. As the song plays, he compares his wish to see his partner happy and free, to his wants to be with her always. And it’s not that he wants to change her or anything. However, in life, you can’t have it all. You need to make choices – difficult choices.

It is a good song that a few people who are in a relationship can relate to, or someone who is secretly in love. Every lyric of the song suggests that if you love someone, set them free. Love is not all about two people having mutual feelings, it’s about finding respect for what the other person wants in their life. If that’s what makes them happy and content, so let them be.

“Wild As You” by Cody Johnson has been streamed on Spotify more than 2 million times, and peaked the #1 most streamed Texas/Red Dirt single on the Texas Music Spotify Chart! It also earned the #1 spot in the Texas chart for three weeks in June 2017. Additionally, it reached the 53rd spot on the Country Airplay chart in 2018. In 2018, Johnson won Album of the Year for Gotta Be Me and Single, for “Wild As You.”

Let’s listen and unravel the love story in Cody Johnson’s “Wild As You” in the video below.
