From the title itself, the song serves as a reminder to us to take the time to thank God for all of the sacrifices and undoubtedly unrivaled love that he has been able to provide us. There is nothing wrong with having time for ourselves, but we must also remember to express appreciation to the one who provides us with the life that we have now.

Although there were no reports of the song charting during or after its release, there is no denying that “Time Out for Jesus” is a popular Christian anthem in many congregations. And, despite the fact that it has received no awards or acclaim from major charts, there is no question that the song has touched many Christian’s hearts. As a result for the listeners, it is still one of Charley Pride’s best songs.
