Despite having sixteen country hits together, the song was their only chart-topper as a duet act. It spent one week on top and ten weeks on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles. The song also reached the Canadian RPM Country Tracks at No. 45.

One month later, she released “I Will Always Love You” as a farewell song to her business partner.
