Alex Miller competed on American Idol Season 19. Alex went to San Diego for an audition. As it was reported, he performed “I’m Over You, So Get Over Me,” which he composed himself. Due to his undeniably outstanding talent both in singing and composing, he made everyone, including the judges, especially Luke Bryan, blown away by his talent. As a result, he was able to advance to the next round of the competition.

Since Alex himself is a great country singer, he further showcased his talents in the “Country” category of the competition along with other exceptional contenders, like Drake McCain, Caleb Kennedy, and many more.

Alex Miller’s route to becoming a celebrity seemed seamless, yet, as many people say, life is not as simple as it appears. And it did during the Showstoppers Round. Although he sang a song loved by many, and he was as good at singing as he was before. But, after he sang “Silver Wings” by Merle Haggard, his best was unable to impress the judges as much as he had hoped.

Regardless, fate has something wonderful in store for him. Luke Bryan surprised Alex with an offer to sing at the Grand Ole Opry shortly after he was evicted. Alex was overjoyed to hear the good news since it had always been his goal to play on such a prestigious stage.

Though the song “Silver Wings” did not get him to the final round of his American Idol dream, it did serve as a bridge for him to get a fantastic opportunity to perform on one of the world’s greatest stages. You can see Alex Miller’s entire reaction to the invitation by clicking here.
