In 2020, Georgette Jones surprised everyone when she performed a live cover of Tammy Wynett’s hit single “Your Good Girl’s Gonna Go Bad” on the show Country Road TV.

If you didn’t know yet, Georgette Jones is the daughter of country legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette. And being a child of well-known artists, it’s natural that many listeners expect much from her.

Although some people think that her career grew because of her parents’ fame, it’s undeniable that she is indeed a talented performer as well. Georgette started singing at such an early age, which honed the skills she has now.

At the age of ten, she recorded her first duet with her father titled “Daddy Come Home,” which has been received quite well. Over the coming years, Georgette started releasing her own songs like “I Hope You Knew” and “I Don’t Wanna Play House.”

Georgette’s rendition of her mother’s hit single, “Your Good Girl’s Gonna Go Bad,” gives off a feeling of nostalgia. The fact that Georgette did her performance in a small family sit-down restaurant instead of a concert hall, makes this live performance worth watching.

Compared to her mother’s version, Georgette’s rendition was mellow and slow-paced, accompanied by just an acoustic guitar and a backup vocal. And that modern country voice definitely sets her apart from her mother, who has that raspy cowgirl voice.

Together with a live acoustic playing of the guitar, Georgette Jones’s version of “Your Good Girl’s Gonna Go Bad” is one you just don’t want to miss.
