LISTEN: Eric Church Describes Living On the Edge as One “Hell of A View”

Eric Church has been racking up accolades for himself this year. From winning his first-ever CMA Entertainer of the Year Award, topping the charts with “Does To Me” duet with Luke Combs, to earning a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance for “Stick That In Your Country Song.”

Could Not Ask for More

Despite his winnings, Church has spent most of his time at home like every single one of us. For the past 8 or more months, he has all the time on earth and has grown much closer with Katherine Blasingame, his wife of 12 years, and their two sons Boone McCoy and Tennessee Hawkins. Church and Blasingame have kept a private relationship, but music has definitely kept them together all this time.

“Hell of A View”

Recently, Eric Church has released yet a new single which he titled “Hell of A View.” Despite what he said that writing love songs isn’t much of his ‘county thang,’ “Hell of a View” could be one of his exceptions. For Church, the best love songs can be heard through the lenses of honesty. Well, he did just that through his collaboration with Casey Beathard and Monty Criswell. Joanna Cotten also backed him.

“Hell of A View” uses a very familiar narrative that has been used by Country songs and artists through the years. It revolved around the story of a guy who was never liked by his girl’s parents. The star-crossed lovers decided to just run away to which Church describes as “Hell of a View”

Other Hits

This has been a long time coming for Church who released his last project in 2018. This also marked his first single since “Stick That in Your Country Song,” but fans have also been listening to “Bad Mother Trucker,” “Through My Ray-Bans,” “Never Break Heart,” “Crazyland,” and “Jenny.”

In the next 30 days or so, we will finally bid farewell to this odd year. Yet, just like country star Eric Church, people and things that are constant and will stick with us deserve more attention. We all should be grateful for the life that we have and the safety of all that we love. Hoping next year will be a little bit kind to us.
