Country superstar Morgan Wallen was grinning in his mugshot following his Sunday arrest in Nashville for allegedly throwing a chair off the sixth-floor roof of Chief’s Bar, a new honky-tonk and concert venue in the entertainment district owned by his fellow country artist Eric Church. In the arrest report obtained by WTVF, the chair crashed onto the Broadway strip, hitting the ground just a few feet where two police officers were standing, and witnesses said that Wallen was laughing after the incident.

What was Morgan Wallen charged for?

According to Nashville police, officers reviewed the video showing the moment the singer “lunged and hurled” the chair down. After that, he was then arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment, two of which were for the officers within the vicinity and one for the public. He was also charged with disorderly conduct, and his bond was set at $15,250.

His attorney, Worrick Robinson of Worrick Robinson Law, released a brief statement Monday morning, reading, “At 10:53 pm Sunday evening, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.” Wallen has since been bonded out and is set to appear in court on May 3, which is also the same day as his scheduled One Night a Time concert at Nissan Stadium.

This wasn’t the first time that the country superstar was arrested for disorderly conduct. Back in 2020, he did a short jail stint after “kicking glass items” in Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse in Nashville. He issued a public apology afterward and even posted a photo of him smiling next to Kid Rock, the owner of the bar.
