Most people give their dad a card on Father’s Day. Morgan Wallen gave his a radio show.
Tommy Wallen, Morgan’s father and a longtime Baptist pastor from Sneedville, Tennessee, is launching “Tommy’s Sunday Seven” on Morgan Wallen Radio (SiriusXM Channel 64) this Sunday, June 21. The show debuts on Father’s Day, because of course it does.
Each episode is a seven-minute devotional, airing every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. ET with rebroadcasts at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Every episode will also be available to stream anytime on the SiriusXM app.
But the way Tommy described the show is what makes this worth paying attention to.
“Each week, our time will be spent looking into the Bible. I’m not going to try to force what determines how I live on you,” Tommy said at the top of Episode 1. “I just want to share with you what brought me out of a life of hopelessness because of alcoholism and drug addiction.”
That’s not a sermon. That’s a man being honest about where he’s been.
“We will approach this as if none of us have any knowledge of the Bible, so we can begin this journey together.”
The Wallen Family’s Faith Runs Deeper Than Most Fans Realize
Tommy already hosts “Family Tradition with Tommy Wallen” on the channel, where he shares memories from Morgan’s childhood, stories from the Wallen family, and his proudest moments from Morgan’s life and career. On one of those earlier segments, Tommy revealed something fans had been speculating about for a while.
“Something that doesn’t relate to music or Morgan’s music that makes me really proud, again, there’s no question about this answer also,” Tommy said. “It’s his sobriety and the Dad he’s become.”
Morgan himself has never publicly confirmed his sobriety, but his father said it plainly, and his actions back it up. Tommy also revealed that Morgan starts a strict diet and workout routine months before every tour, saying his son “exercises like a madman” and “the band practices a lot” to make sure every show is as good as it can be.
Comedian Theo Von revealed back in December 2025 that he and Morgan are in a Bible study together, and anyone who has listened to tracks like “I Wrote The Book” from 2023’s One Thing at a Time knows that Morgan has been wrestling with his faith and his choices for years. Having his dad, a pastor who openly talks about his own battle with addiction, now sharing weekly devotionals on his son’s radio station, feels like a full-circle moment for the entire Wallen family.
Morgan Wallen Radio launched on April 7 on SiriusXM Channel 64, joining the likes of Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson, Carrie Underwood, and Kenny Chesney, who all have their own stations. The channel features everything from behind-the-scenes tour segments to Morgan spinning his favorite hip-hop tracks on a Saturday night show called “808 to 865.”
Now, Sunday mornings on that same channel belong to his dad. Seven minutes, a Bible, and the kind of honesty that runs in the family.
