Thomas Rhett shines for the 16th time in the Mediabase chart for his noteworthy single ‘Be a Light’

A Team Effort for the Music Industry

Teaming up with prevalent icons such as the seasonal country star Reba McEntire, member of ‘Lady A’ Hillary Scott, gospel singer-songwriter Chris Tomlin, and another country star Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett’s latest topping single ‘Be a Light’ features their voices and was soon released in March 2020.

Co-written by TR himself with fable songwriters Josh Miller, Josh Thompson, and Matt Dragstrem, this single was penned not for their own benefit, but to use the accumulated funds so they could lend a hand to struggling artists and musicians during the pandemic. Together with ‘The Recording Academy,’ all proceeds gathered from Thomas’ single has been sent to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund to aid all music artists whose shows were sub consecutively canceled due to the sudden virus outbreak.

No Recognition Expected

Being a chart-topper is something that Thomas Rhett gained out of sheer music capabilities. Thomas Rhett shared that he felt completely blown away and humbled for all the recognition his single is getting. He said that when he and his collaborators decided to release the single in public, all they can think about is their will to share on what’s inside their hearts and nothing more. He thanked his admirers afterward for all the support they’ve given to his song and because of it, he gained an extra boost of inspiration and was further encouraged to lend a hand to more unfortunate groups.

He might’ve given all the material things his song can muster to the community, but what came back to him is double. Not only did ‘Be a Light’ grab the #1 spot in the Mediabase charts, but it also got nominated for the upcoming CMA Awards on November 11.

“Be a Light” and Share It!

Thomas Rhett might be the one in the bright lights, but these are all through the efforts of his collaborators and co-writers. What’s amazing about him is his humility. He never expected anything but the pure will to help the singers who are bottlenecked by the virus. Listen to his music and spread the light, too.

Be a Light’ is an inspiring song geared towards helping one another. It’s really not about the fame or the recognition one can get in his career, but what dictates them all is what’s inside the heart of an artist.

“Thank y’all for coming together like this!”, TR said as he ended his interview.
