It is not that often where a winner of a reality competition show goes on to have a great career in the music industry. Chris used his one-in-a-million chance to fame and made himself known in the country scene. Winning Nashville Star, a television program aired in USA Network, helped him reach the American audience.

After winning, he got signed with RCA Records Nashville and released his self-titled album the same year. The success of his first album helped him record another album with country hits such as “Voices,” “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” and “The Man I Want to Be,” all of which went to number 1.

All of his achievements on the chart made him a mainstream country artist. He also won several awards from the CMT, CMA, and even the British Country Music Association. His success on the country charts and award giving bodies helped him be inducted into the prestigious Grand Ole Opry.

He once helped a dog with a cataract when a fan reached out to him through Twitter. He donated $5000 to a GoFundMe page for the surgery of the dog. He also supported fundraisers for victims of Hurricane Harvey, donated $25,000 of his own money to the Nashville School of Arts, and he raised $35,000 for Star for Stripes.
