Just this November 22, this year’s AMA (American Music Awards) has honored five deserving winners in five country categories. This included what probably be called the biggest winner of 2020, country duo Dan + Shay.

Favorite Male Artist

Despite the disappointments of missing out on some of the awards handed out by the main country music awards, Kane Brown has earned the recognition he truly deserves. Brown won this year’s AMA Favorite Male Artist and there was no one that he wanted to thank the most than his family and fans. In his socials, Brown thanked his fans for their untiring support and his family which he labeled as the ones who keeps him “right here.” Brown went on to win the category against Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.

Favortie Female Artist – Country

Maren Morris is your 2020 AMA Favorite Female Artist award winner. Yes, Morris is yet again taking home another award for herself this year. The country star thanked all her fans for voting enabling her to win this year’s AMA award. Morris was with Gabby Barrett and Miranda Lambert as finalists for this year’s AMA Favorite Female Award Category.

Album of the Year – Country

Considered the toughest fight in the country music category for this year for the simple fact that every nominee has made its mark and no one could really pick who was better than the other. But at the end of it, Blake Shelton bagged the 2020 AMA Album of the Year award for the Country music category.

Other finalists were Luke Combs in “What You See Is What You Get” and Morgan Wallen in “If I Know Me” The said award means the world for Shelton because what matters to him is the voice of the fans who consume and enjoy his masterpieces.

Dan + Shay

Arguably the best contemporary country duo in the industry today, Dan + Shay yet again bagged awards after awards in this year’s AMA. If there will be someone who could say that 2020 did very kind to them, it would be Dan + Shay.

The country duo won three, yes three AMA awards, which was two more than any other country artist this year. The ‘Favorite Song,’ ‘Favorite Duo/Group’ in the country music category, and the ‘All-Genre Collaboration of the Year’ awards all went to Dan + Shay. This was all headlined by their hit collaboration with Justin Bieber in “10,000 Hours.”

It truly has been an outstanding year for country music and surely we have a lot in store for the coming year.
