The 2020 CMT Music Awards is drawing closer and with just 8 days to go, more and more names have been added to the current roster of performers and collaborations.

It was announced earlier that Kane Brown was named as one of this year’s host for the music awards. Brown was elated for the opportunity to co-host this year’s awards night. Sarah Hyland will also be co-hosting this year’s event. There are yet 2 more celebrity hosts that are yet to be announced. With that being said, let’s not forget how Little Big Town took the honor to host the awards night in the past two years.

StarStudded Performances

Aside from the new celebrity hosts, the 2020 CMT Music Awards will surely be a country music festival as the network announced the name of country artists that will be added to the first batch of performers released earlier.

It has been announced that Gabby Barrett, Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt, and Shania Twitt will be appearing during the show’s telecast. Collaborations of Kelsea Ballerini with Noah Cyrus and Luke Combs with Brooks & Dunn will also be featured on the show.

Now, more artists were announced as part of the performing roster which includes Ashley McBride, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, and Maren Morris. In addition, we’ll also have Ram Trucks, Side Stage performers Caylee Hammack, HARDY, Ingrid Andress, Mickey Guton, Riley Green, and Travis Denning.

Nominees

This year, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, and Thomas Rhett are the top nominees. Each of them has 6 nominations under their name.

Crossovers will be Honored this Year

The 2020 CMT Music Awards will be honoring artists who originally are not country music artists but have significant collaboration with one. This includes Gwen Stefani who earned her first nomination with her boyfriend Blake Shelton for their “Nobody Like You” video. Justin Bieber is also nominated for his collaboration with Dan + Shay in “10,000 Hours” while Marshmello is a first-time nominee for his song with Kane Brown, “One Thing Right.”
