Get ready as country star Travis Tritt will take you on a nostalgic trip to his childhood roots in his newly announced album, Country Chapel – which is set to release on Friday, September 15, 2023. It is actually Tritt’s debut Gospel project and his first album since two years ago.

Here’s what we know about this soul-stirring project.

Travis Tritt Said This Project Has Been Three Decades In The Making

Travis Tritt grew up singing in the church choir. In fact, his first singing performance in front of an audience was at a children’s choir at his church’s Sunday School – when he was only five or six years old – wherein they performed Ray Stevens’ “Everything Is Beautiful.”

It made Tritt realize that music was something he wanted to do and something he wanted to continue doing. So, in honor of Tritt’s early years, he’s releasing his first-ever Gospel album, Country Chapel – in which Tritt aims to enchant listeners with genuine renditions and compelling stories of redemption.

The album is comprised of ten tracks, which includes two cover songs. These are Tritt’s rendition of Kris Kristofferson’s “Why Me” and “The Baptism of Jesse Taylor,” notably covered by The Oak Ridge Boys.

To celebrate, Tritt released “When God Dips His Love in My Heart” as the first single. On August 18, Tritt heightened fans’ anticipation even more with the release of the album’s second single titled, “Like the Father Loves His Son.” To give the listeners what’s in store for his forthcoming album, Tritt will release the song “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” on September 15.

We are sure fans are excited about Travis Tritt’s first Gospel album, Country Chapel. We are, too!
