While it’s not even out yet, quite a few songs from Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time album are already dominating the country charts. The Morgan Wallen album includes “Last Night,” which climbed to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in its second week. It also entered various charts in countries such as Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland.

One Thing At A Time will officially be released on March 3. Several previously teased songs by Morgan Wallen are included in the project, such as “You Proof” and “Thought You Should Know.” The much-anticipated album will actually feature 36 brand-new songs, including duets with ERNEST, HARDY, and Eric Church. The country singer’s sister will even be making a special participation.

Meaning Behind The Song

The song “Last Night” was written by Ryan Vojtseak, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ashley Gorley, and John Byron. It tells the story of a man recounting a difficult conversation with his romantic partner in what seemed to be their last moment together.

While they were both fueled by alcohol, they said everything there was to say. However, the man reckoned he couldn’t trade her love for anything else. Despite the conflicts they are facing and what other people say, something is telling him that their relationship is not over yet.

“I know you said this time you really weren’t coming back again. But baby, baby, somethin’s tellin’ me this ain’t over yet,” the song goes, with Wallen’s definitive southern accent adding to the flavor.
