In 2018, Keith Urban released his tenth studio album called Graffiti U, that’s actually heavily influenced by the country singer’s youth and the country classics he listened to in his father’s record collection. The project includes “Gemini,” which not-safe-for-work lyrics had fans speculating and left his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, a little embarrassed.

Meaning Behind The Song

Written by Keith Urban alongside Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, and Ian Kirkpatrick, “Gemini” sings about a strong-willed woman with lyrics that get a little risqué.

“She’s a maniac in the bed but a brainiac in her head. And I know that everybody knows,” the song goes.

Well, in case you’ve been wondering about the identity of the woman Urban is describing, you can rest easy now. The four-time Grammy winner actually admitted that he is, of course, talking about his wife, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman.

The song came to life when Michaels asked Urban to describe Kidman. “Well, she’s a Gemini, but she’s not a contradiction,” Urban told Michaels, and everything just fell into place.

While Urban said Kidman was pleased with the song, the actress also admitted that the lyrics had her blushing. However, Kidman noted that she doesn’t censor her husband’s art.

Well, it’s truly no surprise that Kidman serves as her husband’s muse. In fact, she’s been the inspiration for a stack of Keith Urban songs. The couple began dating in 2005 and got married a year later in a romantic ceremony in Australia. They have been enjoying a beautiful life together ever since – with their two daughters: Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
