Country artist Drake White had to hit pause on his Keep It Movin’ Tour after a tour bus crash left his driver hospitalized and fans in Albany without a show.
The crash occurred around 2:30 AM on October 23 as White and his crew were headed to Albany, New York. While the singer and his band escaped without injury, their bus driver was not as fortunate. White took to Instagram shortly after to share the news, confirming the cancellation of that night’s show and asking fans to keep the driver in their prayers.
“Our bus was involved in an accident at about 2:30 AM. Everyone is okay as far as the band and the crew. The bus driver is currently in the hospital. We will unfortunately not be able to play our show in Albany, New York tonight,” White told his followers.
Photos of the damaged bus revealed a shattered front windshield on the driver’s side and a dented front end. Though the structure held up, the visual was enough to make it clear this could have ended far worse. White expressed gratitude for the safety of his crew and apologized to fans for the last-minute change.
“Sometimes, unfortunately, these things happen as we put a lot of miles on these roads. I just appreciate your thoughts and prayers for our bus driver. We will see you down the road,” he said.
The crash adds another layer of hardship to what has already been a difficult year for White. Just weeks ago, he and his wife, Alex, shared the heartbreaking news that their newborn daughter, Della Elizabeth White, passed away shortly after birth. She was born prematurely at 29 weeks and lived just 20 minutes. In a joint post, the couple shared their grief and thanked God for the time they had with her, quoting Scripture and asking for continued prayers.

White and Alex are also parents to a two-year-old son, William Hawk, making the family’s loss even more profound. Despite the tragedy, they remain rooted in their faith, writing, “We are heartbroken and soul tired, but we know we will get through this difficult time with the strength, peace and joy that only our Heavenly Father can provide.”
White’s resilience is well documented. In 2019, he suffered a life-threatening stroke onstage in Roanoke, Virginia. Doctors later discovered an arteriovenous malformation, a rare brain condition that required multiple surgeries. His recovery was long and brutal, but White fought his way back to the stage. That experience led him to create the Benefit For The Brain, a nonprofit that raises funds for mental health and brain-related conditions. This year’s benefit concert is set for November 17 at the Ryman Auditorium and will feature artists like Jon Pardi, Kassi Ashton, and Riley Green.
Despite the crash, White is continuing his tour, with upcoming dates in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Fans have flooded his social media with prayers and words of encouragement, praising his strength and commitment to the road.
Drake White may have taken a hit this week, but if there is one thing fans can count on, it is that he is going to keep moving forward. The road might be rough, but it is not enough to stop a man who has already survived the unthinkable.
