While still keeping the song’s rustic vibe, Danielle Bradbery also gave her own touch to Kacey Musgraves’ classic song “Slow Burn.”

Danielle Bradbery was first known after she won season 4 of the hit singing competition show “The Voice” in 2013. She subsequently focused on her music for the next few years, creating amazing albums such as “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met” and “Danielle Bradbery.”

With the release of her third album “Yours Truly:2018” in 2018, Billboard and Bradbery agreed to collaborate on the project with the aim of capturing Bradbery’s source of inspiration from various genres like pop, country, and R&B and put it into one.

For the album, Bradbery recorded a number of cover songs. Among the long list of songs included in this project, Danielle Bradbery’s rendition of “Slow Burn” became the talk of the town.

So, if you want to know how Bradbery’s version of the song differed from the original, keep scrolling down as we got everything covered for you!

Kacey Musgraves’s Original Version

The Grammy-award-winning singer Kacey Musgraves released “Slow Burn” as part of her “Golden Hour” album in 2018.

Musgraves’s original version is catchy, as her enunciation and tonal quality really channel throughout the song. Although her touch of pop in country music caused a lot of stir among listeners, her fans can’t deny that Musgraves’s creative ambitions and restrictive limits for her music set her apart from other artists.

Danielle Bradbery’s Version

There is no doubt that Kacey Musgraves’s original version of the song was one of a kind, but fans can’t deny the fact that Bradbery’s version was also top-notch.

In Bradbery’s version, she tried incorporating modern beats into the song to give it a livelier vibe. On top of that, her enunciation of each note is a bit more cursive than the original, making the song feel more laid-back and nostalgic.

Aside from that, fans have also noticed that in Bradbery’s version, the inflections of the pop genre are a bit more apparent than in the original.
