Winners of CMT Awards’ Video and Performance of the Year

The 2019 CMT Awards is a big event where country fans would have a chance to pick their favorite songs and who they want to bring home the biggest prize in country music. Therefore, to all the winners, we would like to congratulate all of you for a job well done. Now, let us take a closer look at the winners for Video and Performace of the Year.

CMT Carrie Underwood

Winning Video of the Year is not just an award. This is one of the major awards that every music artist dreams of. Let us all congratulate Carrie Underwood, who won the award for the 7th time. She won the Video of the Year with her song “Cry Pretty.” It was such an amazing night for Underwood as she won all the categories that she was nominated in that night.

Carrie Underwood is not just an ordinary woman, but indeed an amazing one. She had won numerous awards in her music career. She had also faced strong competitions with the biggest names in country music like Kane Brown, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, and Luke Combs.

Cry Pretty is the 6th studio album made by Carrie. The album was released in September 2018. The album topped the US Billboard 200. Carrie is the first woman to enter the topped Billboard 200 chart with four country albums. Moreover, the song became a hit with country fans and has sold millions of units worldwide.

CMT Performance of the Year

CMT Luke Combs and Leon Bridges

Luke Combs and Leon Bridges brought home the award for Performance of the Year. The singers beat some of the hitmakers like Boyz II Men, Gladys Knight, and Shawn Mendes. Combs and Bridges had won the award with their single “Beautiful Crazy.”

Combs’ love song was a hit for country fans and it topped the chart on the Billboards Country Airplay. While accepting the award given to Combs, he thanked his wife for inspiring him with the songs he recorded.
