Bannon and John Bettis wrote the words and lyrics of “One of a Kind Pair of Fools.” The song was released in July 1983 as part of Barbara’s album “Spun Gold.” It became number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for a week. Moreover, the song spent a total of fourteen weeks on the chart.
