Robison’s birthplace seems to be a huge influence on his love of making country music. He was born in Bandera, Texas, and still lives in Texas. Texas is truly his home! Robison may have released songs as his singles, but it wasn’t able to achieve commercial success. Despite the outcome, it was still noticed by other artists.

Bruce Robison’s Songs

He has songs recorded by well-known names in country music, including the Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and George Strait. These artists brought Robison to the spotlight when they decided to cover his songs. If you haven’t heard some of Robinson’s singles, here are some of it:

“Travelin’ Soldier,” a song popularized by the Dixie Chicks.

“Angry All the Time” is a single of Robison that was covered by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in 2001.

Beautiful Lie, An Upcoming Album with Kelly Willis

The Texas-based power couple Robison and his wife Kelly Willis are back with another album. The couple, who were married in 1996, began their collaboration in 2006 with Happy Holidays. After six years, they released yet another album called Cheater’s Game. They followed it with Our Year in 2014. Their last album was able to score a spot on the Billboard Top 40 of the country chart.

Robison and Willis are both ready for their fourth album Beautiful Lie. They have already released one song from their album, “Nobody’s Perfect,” on May 31. Their album is about to be released on June 21, and we can’t wait to hear their wonderful collaboration again. The couple had already started their Beautiful Lie tour last month, and it will end on August 24 at The Heights Theater in Houston, Texas.

It seems that it’s a wonderful year for Robison to celebrate his birthday. Happy Birthday, Bruce!

Tickets and tour dates are available at Bruce Robison’s website.
