Zach Bryan is an Oklahoma-born American singer-songwriter. His debut album under a major label, American Heartbreak, was released in 2022. With almost 70,000 album-equivalent units, it debuted at no. 5 on the US Billboard 200, marking Bryan’s debut on the chart and the biggest opening week for a country album in 2022.

He is a son of a Navy soldier, Dewayne Bryan, and Annette DeAnn Mullen Bryan. Bryan served in the United States Army, he enlisted when he was still seventeen years old. During his service, in his leisure time, he composed music for his own amusement.

3. He was Born Overseas

Bryan was actually born in Japan when his family was on a Navy deployment, but he spent much of his childhood in Oologah, Oklahoma, where his family relocated when he was in eighth grade.

4. Warner Bros Signed a Contract with Him

Following his debut on the Grand Ole Opry in 2021, he then got a record contract with Warner Records. It was believed that his resemblance to Sam Shepard drew Warner Records’ attention because of his ability to connect with people.

On August 24, 2019, his debut album, DeAnn, was published as a memorial to his late mother. It was written in two months and recorded with his friends in a Florida Airbnb. Annette DeAnn, Bryan’s mother died in 2016. The cause of her death was never revealed to the public.

9. He Was Caught in an Accident 

Just like most of us, Zach also experiences some ups and downs of his own. He was riding his motorcycle with his girlfriend, Deb Peifer, when he lost focus and crashed.
