Guess there’s no fan of Hallmark Channel original movies who couldn’t recognize American actress Taylor Cole after becoming one of the network’s go-to actresses.

Cole has already appeared in more than ten Hallmark Channel made-for-TV films in just four years, beginning with Appetite For Love in 2016. Her latest credit is the 2020 holiday romantic-mystery, Unlocking Christmas.

Let’s get to more about Taylor Cole below.

1. She’s a native of Texas.

Taylor Cole was born on April 29, 1984, and raised in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas.

2. She later moved to New York.

While in Texas, Cole attended Mirabeau B. Lamar High School and joined the Junior Olympics volleyball squad, where she had the opportunity to travel a lot and landed on a modeling job.

She eventually moved to New York to grow her modeling career. Cole then appeared in commercials and advertisements for various brands, such as Crest toothpaste and Old Spice’s male grooming products.

3. She first appeared in the American Drama TV series Summerland.

While visiting her mother, Deborah Quinn, in Los Angeles, Taylor Cole had the chance to audition for The WB’s 2004 TV series, Summerland, and earned the role of Erika Spalding. The role was originally intended to be a guest star, but the moment the producers saw Cole’s work, it was promoted to series regular.

Summerland ran for a total of twenty-six episodes over two seasons, making Cole decide to relocate to Los Angeles to film.

4. Her stepfather is an actor.

In 1991, Taylor Cole’s mother met actor Shawn Christian while they were both auditioning for a print ad in Chicago; they got married five years later.

Cole and Christian appeared in the TV series Summerland as well as in one of Hallmark Channel’s original movies, Ruby Herring Mysteries: Silent Witness.

5. She also appeared in some music videos.

Cole starred in the music videos for Ryan Cabrera’s 2004 hit song “True,” and for Papa Roach’s 2005 crossover hit “Scars,” among others.

6. She also guest-starred in some of the most popular TV shows.

Taylor Cole guest-starred in the action-fantasy TV series, Supernatural, in 2006. She played the role of an art dealer, which she reprised seven years later. She also had a guest role in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

7. She’s an avid sports enthusiast.

In addition to playing volleyball, Cole loves to play golf and practice taekwondo. And because of her Summerland’s role as a surfing coach, Cole has learned and now enjoys the sport.

8. She just got married.

On June 20, 2020, Taylor Cole finally tied the knot with Cameron Larson on the shores of Tahoe Beach Club, a local resort on Lake Tahoe. Though it wasn’t the wedding they were preparing for, it turned out to be “the perfect day” – with just an officiant and a handful of others present from the original guest list of more than 100.

9. She walked to the altar with a phone in her arm.

This is probably the first time you’ll hear it, but Cole walked down the aisle with a phone connected to her right arm just to be in touch with her father via FaceTime.

It took Cole a while to accept that her father couldn’t make it to her wedding and walk her down the aisle. “He’s made me who I am today, and his best advice was always ‘choose happy,'” Cole said. So, she made the most of the moment. Cole bought a blue armband for her something blue, and used it to attach her mobile phone for her father to be with her – every step of the way – on the most special day of her life.

10. She met her husband on the set of a Hallmark movie.

When Taylor Cole met writer-producer Cameron Larson on the Hallmark movie set, they developed a relationship that was straight from one of Cole’s movies – Matching Hearts.

Cole revealed that she actually tried playing matchmaker for Cameron, “attempting to set him up with a few friends of mine,” but just like in the movie, “none of the matches worked, and we both realized we were perfect for each other.”
