It looks like Reba McEntire’s current acting career is on full blast.

The country icon was announced as part of the third season of ABC’s crime drama thriller series Big Sky back in May. But the more exciting part came when it was revealed that her boyfriend Rex Linn would be joining her on the show. The real-life couple will be playing husband and wife, Buck and Sunny Barnes – who owns the popular glamping company Sunny Day Excursions, that has a reputation for missing customers.

McEntire said they are already in the middle of filming the series, and they’re absolutely “having a blast.”

“We are really loving it,” she said.

This will also be the very first time fans will see McEntire as a villain. And her boyfriend can’t help but be impressed with her performance. “Wait until you see her in this,” Linn proudly said, teasing the fans even more.

McEntire and Linn are joining the series regulars as detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury), her partner Undersheriff Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick), and the freshly appointed Sheriff Beau Arlen (Jensen Ackles) face their “most formidable mystery yet.” The new season, called Big Sky: Deadly Trails, is set to premiere on September 21, 2022.

This Isn’t The Only Thing Keeping Reba McEntire And Rex Linn Today

Other than Big Sky: Deadly Trails, Reba McEntire and Rex Linn will also share the screen in the upcoming film The Hammer. The trailer has recently been released, giving fans a peek at the country icon’s portrayal of a fierce lawyer named Kim Wheeler.

McEntire and Linn were longtime friends but only started dating in 2020. We’re absolutely excited to see them on one screen.

Moreover, the new Big Sky trailer opens with a Reba voiceover, check it out in the video below.
