New Couple Alert! Reba McEntire Revealed She’s Dating CSI: Miami Actor Rex Linn

Reba McEntire‘s boyfriend, Rex Linn, was described by the country superstar as a breath of fresh air, and she gets butterflies whenever she hears his voice. She says she feels like a “giddy teenager again” since they started dating.

“I’m in love,” McEntire recently told Good Morning America.” [Being in love] really inspires me to find love songs, to find happy songs,” McEntire added how her relationship status is going to affect the new music she’s recording. “I’ve always been the queen of waltzes, the queen of sad songs, because I just gravitate to those kinds of songs.”

McEntire first opened up about her hot new romance during an episode of her “Living & Learning with Reba McEntire” podcast in early October.

“I am [dating someone],” McEntire gushed, though she has not revealed how long they’ve been together. “A very, very sweetheart of guy, Rex Linn. And we’ve been talking during the pandemic. We had dinner with Rex, was it in January? … And then February on it was the COVID pandemic.”

While it can absolutely be tough to find new connections during quarantine, the sweet couple found a way. “We were talking, texting, FaceTime,” the singer said. “And that’s a really good way to get to know people.”

It seems like McEntire is finding the upside of socially distanced dating. While they’ve been keeping in touch through the phone for the last six months, she said she’s gotten really at ease sharing details of her private life with Linn. “[We’ve been] having discussions about our past, our [families], funny stories,” McEntire said.

“He’s very into my music, I’m very into his career,” she sweetly added, noting how thankful she feels to have a man like Rex by her side. “It’s just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, and very smart, and is interested in me too.”

Do You Think Rex Linn Looks Familiar?

If Rex Linn looks familiar to you, there’s a good reason for that. The 63-year-old Texas native is actually no stranger to film and television. Linn is an actor known for his role as Detective Sergeant Francis “Frank” Tripp in the TV series CSI: Miami. He’s also appeared in films such as “A Million Ways to Die in the West” and “Cheaper By the Dozen” and on TV shows like “Better Call Saul,” “Young Sheldon,” “Nashville,” and “Waco.”

Early this year, Linn shared a snapshot on his social media of the dinner date that McEntire mentioned as the beginning of their relationship. “Had a fantastic dinner with this Oklahoma girl,” Linn captioned the post, where they looked quite cozy with each other. “Tater Tots and Ketchup included.” Of course, the fans were quick to show their support for the new couple.

And a new picture of the pair shared on McEntire’s socials revealed that the two are absolutely off to a strong start, and it seems like she already has a sweet pet name for him.

In a photo they took together during a trip to Montana, the two were smiling like young lovers on a crisp autumn day. “Fun in MT with my Sugar Tot!!!” McEntire wrote in the caption.

Reba McEntire Is Better Than Ever

This relationship comes after McEntire’s two marriages. McEntire was first married to Charlie Battles, a marriage that lasted to a little over a decade. She then went on to marry TV producer Narvel Blackstock in 1989 but called it quits in 2015.

McEntire also had a serious relationship with Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo from 2017 to 2019. “We still talk, and we’re friends, but just decided to go our separate ways,” McEntire exclusively told Us Weekly after quietly splitting.

During her podcast in September, the Grammy Award-winner opened up about how she learned to move on after her split from Blackstock. “The divorce was not my choice. I did not want it at all,” she revealed. “So, it was left up to me of, ‘OK, kid. How you gonna handle this?'”

McEntire added that she then had what she called a “come to Jesus” moment. “I had to gather my wherewithal, put my feelings aside, and go forward. So, it was forging a path that I didn’t want any part of, but I had to do it,” she added.

Linn’s romantic history, on the other hand, isn’t as public, but he was reportedly engaged to Renee DeRese in 2010. Needless to say, we all couldn’t be happier for Reba McEntire and Rex Linn. A friend close to McEntire insisted she was doing “better than ever” now.
