All animals, regardless of shape or size, are astounding. But some animals are more amazing than others. Sure, your average pet dog can do some rare tricks, and one massive elephant can create a unique painting – but this talented parrot has more going for him. Henry the Amazon parrot does not only know all the words to “Margaritaville,” but he can sing it to beat.

While wandering around his own bird playground, Henry suddenly has the urge to burst into a spontaneous performance of the song’s catchy chorus. He clearly belted out, “Wasted away again in Margaritaville.”

Even though he got a little distracted in the middle of his performance, Henry was quick to remember where he was – thanks to his helpful owner, who sang along with him and told him the next few lyrics to jumpstart his memory.

Henry had a strong finish, singing, “But I know, it’s my own damn fault.”

The Laid-Back, Island Lifestyle We’ve All Been Dreaming Of

Written by superstar singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, “Margaritaville” reflects a laid-back lifestyle in a tropical climate. It sings about a man’s day-to-day activities during his holiday trip at a beach resort.

Buffet released the song – that was named after a cocktail margarita – in 1977 off his album Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes. The song was such a massive hit that, in addition to reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart and No. 8 on Billboard Hot 100, it had been inducted into the 2016 Grammy Hall of Fame for its cultural and historical significance. Not only that, but it also inspired a Broadway Musical and even a retirement community!

Well, it’s no surprise that Henry got caught with its infectious melody. Now, make sure to watch his impressive act in the video below and see for yourself how amazing this feathery entertainer is.
