Luke Combs’ Historical “Crazy” Streak Continues

Luke Combs is making history for country artists in 2019. For the second time this month, Combs is simultaneously topping all five Billboard’s country charts. ‘Beautiful Crazy’ tops Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Country Streaming Songs, Country Digital Song Sales, and Top Country Albums.

The success comes on the heels of Combs’ 2x Platinum single ‘Beautiful Crazy.’ This is his fastest rising single to date. This song is also the first country single shipped to radio already platinum-certified since Taylor Swift’s “Red” in 2013 and has more than 301 million on-demand streams. Combs‘ song is number one on the charts. His previous chart-toppers were ‘Hurricane,’ When It Rains It Pours,’ and ‘One Number Away.’ While his album, This One’s for You is number 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.

Currently, he is the only artist in country music history to top all five charts for two weeks. Fellow contemporary country artist Kane Brown was number one on all five charts for one week in October 2017.

In addition, Combs’ ‘Beautiful Crazy’ is number one on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for the fifth straight week. These achievements add to an already stellar year for the rising artist. His debut album ‘This One’s For You’ is now certified RIAA double Platinum. It is the most streamed country album of 2019 so far.

He was also recently named Country Artist of the Year at the 2019 iHeart Music Awards. Moreover, Combs has also snagged the 2019 Male Artist of the Year. He is also nominated for Male Artist of the Year.

The 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards will be aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7 at 8 PM ET on CBS.
