In this world we are thriving in, we are always greeted by unwanted circumstances, hardships that will shake us to our very core, and things we cannot control. Every day of our life is an uncertain road that we have to travel, and even if we feel like giving up there is no other choice than to move forward. This world may be seen wrapped around in the darkness, but the truth is, darkness is only temporarily passing by. As they say,

“True darkness is not the absence of light. It is the conviction that the light will never return.”

When our life seems to be chaotic we can always hold on to the Lord, for He is our hope and the light. The only thing we have to do is stay still in His presence, and let Him take care of everything. If we let Him handle every single thing in our life here is what will happen to us.

What Happens When God Takes Control of Our Life?

1. We have more time to glorify Him

When the Lord was not a part of our life, we spend most of our time worrying or wasting it by doing things that will only make us feel miserable. But when we let Him in, He took the wheel off our hands and lead us. Now that we don’t have to worry about anything, we can spend our time spreading His words and glorifying Him. Isn’t that a wonderful thing to do here on earth?

2. We can live life to the fullest

Everyone wants to live life to the fullest, but sometimes it’s impossible to do such because we are constantly bothered by our problems. We try to push away these thoughts but they keep coming back, and when they live in our minds we start to overthink things and complicate it. What happens is that it will soon take over our lives. But knowing Him and letting Him manage your problems will lead to a smoothly flowing and happy life. The problems will be there but worrying about it is not an issue anymore.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

Isn’t it great if we just let go of the things that we can’t control? It’s such a refreshing feeling to know that even though problems do still exist, the Lord got our back. He will always lead us to a place that will only bring us peace and joy. Therefore, let us give the wheel to the Lord. Let Him steer it smoothly into a place we will call home.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Take some time to reflect on this wonderful song by Hillsong.
