Gwen Stefani’s son with former husband and rockstar Gavin Rossdale, Zuma Rossdale, surely has the genes of music.

The 15-year-old performed live for the first time at his stepdad Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Tishomingo bar in Oklahoma. In his black cowboy hat, striped button-down shirt, and blue jeans, Zuma sat on a stool while playing his guitar and singing hit singles “Revival” and “Oklahoma Smokeshow” by the country rising star Zach Bryan. Last year, his 18-year-old brother Kingston also debuted at Shelton’s bar and performed his original alternative rock songs.

Stefani and Shelton married on July 3, 2021. Since then, Shelton has influenced his three stepsons — Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo — about some of his favorite things. “I get to teach them the country, you know, and I love that,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight

Prior to Zuma’s performance, Shelton took the Ole Red stage to perform “Playboys of the Southwestern World” in front of 100 fans. The song was dedicated to his youngest stepson, Apollo, 10. Both Stefani and Apollo witnessed the show alongside her sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. Shelton sang a solo version of “Pour Me a Drink,” his duet with Post Malone, before calling Zuma on stage.

“This is Zuma, everybody,” Shelton said. The audience applauded Zuma’s entrance as he sat on a tall stool. He then greeted, “How y’all doing?” With his brown acoustic guitar, Zuma went on to play a laid-back and homely rendition of Bryan’s two songs

“Everybody was excited. I think everybody was very open with Kingston. But this was more of the vibe that’s over there, the country music. It seemed like everybody knew every word, and it was very shocking how good his voice was. I had no idea. no idea. He was very good,” shared Shelton’s avid fan Jamie McGaugh. “He may have been nervous, but you could not tell. Blake sat over on the side of the stage and watched it with a gigantic grin. He was so proud.”

In a TikTok post, a user commented on Zuma’s performance, saying, “A great mix of Gwen and Gavin with a sprinkle of Blake.” Another user said, “Z[u]ma going country like papa Blake.”

His raspy voice debut garnered an appreciative cheer from the crowd of Ole Red Bar. In McGaugh’s post on X, Shelton was seen applauding for Zuma while Stefani was proudly recording the crowd’s reactions. For the second time, patrons of Shelton’s bar witnessed two of his stepsons’ musical talents.

To wrap up the half-hour show, Shelton performed his 2001 single “Ol’ Red.”
