Her schedule this month is stacked. She’s got shows running straight through until mid-December, wrapping with her Redemption Residency at Chief’s, Eric Church’s Nashville bar. Canceling even a handful of those dates would be brutal, not just for the fans but for an artist who’d rather crawl on stage than bow out.
And if you think she’s taking the quiet time to sulk, you don’t know Ashley McBryde. She made the whole announcement feel like a hang with friends, mixing in humor with the bad news and signing along with someone reading her notes out loud.
