The only thing more chaotic than a Christmas morning in the Rhett-Akins household is the news they just dropped on the world.

Country superstar Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, just added not one but two new puppies to their already lively home. Oh, and by the way, they are also counting down the days until baby number five arrives in 2026. That’s right. Two new dogs and one more baby. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you will not find it in the Rhett household anytime soon.

In a heartfelt and hilarious holiday post, Thomas and Lauren shared the big updates with fans. The post featured a festive family photo and a caption that pretty much summed up their world right now. They wrote they are grateful for their growing family and their two new puppies. Nero joined their family in September and had the chance to bond with Kona and Cash before those beloved pups passed away. According to the couple, it felt like Nero inherited their family dog duties from the start. Then came Moose, a not-so-little Christmas surprise courtesy of Santa Claus himself.

Of course, that would be enough excitement for most folks, but not for this crew. The real showstopper is that Lauren is very pregnant and nearly ready to welcome baby number five. Her ankles may be swollen, but her heart is full, as the couple embraces another chapter of this wild, beautiful ride they are on together.

Thomas and Lauren’s baby news first hit back in late summer when the couple announced their pregnancy with a fun video. Lauren walked into the frame, holding up ultrasound photos, while Thomas serenaded her with a cheeky twist on his hit song, “Life Changes.” This new baby will join their growing crew of daughters: Willa Gray (10), Ada James (8), Lennon Love (5), and Lillie Carolina (3). And in true old-school style, they are waiting until delivery to find out if they are adding a boy or another girl to the mix.

Thomas has shared in interviews that he would love to have a boy someday, but what matters most to them is a healthy baby and a house full of love. The couple has always dreamed of a big family, and now they are living that dream. Complete with muddy paw prints and baby bottles on every surface.

While the idea of “controlled chaos” might terrify most, Thomas and Lauren wear it like a badge of honor. Their journey has played out in real time, from newlyweds to parents of four, and now with baby number five and two puppies in the mix, they are embracing every noisy, messy, joy-filled moment.

Thomas has always said that his family is his greatest inspiration. His music reflects that with heartfelt lyrics and stories pulled straight from his home life. If this next album has a track about chasing toddlers with a puppy chewing on a diaper, fans will know exactly where it came from.

From the outside, it might look like complete madness. But inside, it is pure love. And come 2026, the Rhett-Akins family is going to be bigger, louder, and more blessed than ever. Country music’s favorite family just got a little furrier and a whole lot fuller.
