Thomas Rhett just keeps on proving he cannot be stopped on the charts or at home, because baby number five is officially on the way.

The country hitmaker and his wife, Lauren, dropped the big news on Instagram with a sweet video that had fans cheering, cringing, and joking about how wild their household is about to get. “Here we go again! We have some really excited big sisters in our house. God is so good,” Thomas wrote, as Lauren held up ultrasound photos and he strummed through a cheeky rewrite of his 2018 hit Life Changes.

The lyrics hit hard because they are true: “Well I was wrappin’ my head around bein’ a dad / A bigger wrench got thrown in the plans we thought we had / Now Lauren’s showin’ and got one on the way / Yeah, that’s five under 10, hey what can I say? Yeah, life changes.”

If there was ever a verse that sounded like chaos and country joy rolled into one, that is it.

For those keeping score, the newest Rhett baby joins big sisters Willa Gray (9), Ada James (8), Lennon Love (5), and Lillie Carolina (3). That is a basketball squad with a sub already, and they are still going. Most families struggle to load up one minivan, and Thomas Rhett’s clan is about to need a small convoy just to get to Chick-fil-A.

It feels like only yesterday, Rhett and Lauren were fresh-faced high school sweethearts dreaming about a quiet life. Then came the songs, the tours, the hit after hit, and now a house that sounds more like a preschool than a country music palace. They adopted Willa from Uganda in 2017 and welcomed Ada the same year. Before the dust settled, Lennon and Lillie made sure sleep was a rare luxury. Now, number five? Somebody get this man a reality show, because this is parenting at rock star speed.

Thomas Rhett is not slowing down anywhere else. While juggling his growing family, the singer just notched another smash with “After All the Bars Are Closed,” which sat pretty on top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for three weeks straight. He headlined Fenway Park in July and sold it out, and he is still running full throttle on his Better in Boots Tour through October. Most folks would be burnt out after just two kids and a regular nine-to-five. Rhett is collecting number ones on the charts and in the nursery.

Of course, fans could not resist poking fun in the comments. “Congrats! But bro, you are gonna need a tour bus just to fit all those car seats.” Another chimed in, “Forget CMA Entertainer of the Year, Daddy of the Decade is coming your way.” Country fans may disagree on their favorite Rhett song, but everyone agrees five kids under ten is a wild ride, even for a superstar.

Through it all, the thing that keeps fans rooting for this family is how real Thomas and Lauren are about the madness. They have shared the tears, the laughs, the sleepless nights, and the grace that gets them through it. Their love story is stitched into his music, from “Die a Happy Man” to “Life Changes,” and now they have literally written a new verse for their growing family.

So yes, Thomas Rhett has shelves of trophies, a wall full of platinum records, and stages packed with screaming fans. But none of that compares to the circus at home, where bedtime routines, snack-time negotiations, and little giggles are the soundtrack. Baby number five is on the way, and if his past hits are any clue, it is going to inspire even more music straight from the heart.

Congratulations to the Rhettersons. Somebody start praying for their babysitters now.
