Nicholas Kyle Everette, otherwise known as Niko Everette, died in a one-vehicle wreck Saturday (July 9) on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at around eight in the morning.

Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. confirmed that the car Everette was driving left the roadway in Vancleave before it went off the road, struck a culvert and then a tree. Unfortunately, he did not survive the crash, from which he sustained severe injuries. Deputies found him dead at the scene. Everette was 32.

Beloved Drummer And Musician

Niko Everette has performed in quite a few bands across the South for more than a decade – but he is best known for being part of the Whiskey Kiss, which is composed of four energetic rockers from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He has also opened for other acts, including Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Soggy Bottom Boys, and many more. Currently, he is also performing with Klass Kings.

Tributes to the musician came pouring on his social media page. He is being remembered for being someone who brought a lot of joy to this world, a man full of great energy, and a beautiful and talented soul.

On the other hand, Everette’s family announced that there would be no actual funeral service but a celebration of his incredible life with all of his friends and family instead. It will be held at Brewsky’s in Hattiesburg on Sunday, July 17, at 3:00 PM.

“If you would like to bring flowers or a card, please do so,” the announcement said. “His parents would love to see all of the people that loved him and all the lives he touched, so please come out.”

Our deepest condolences to Everette’s family and all the loved ones he left behind. He’s survived by his parents, Anthony and Marcy Everette.
