Keep on scrolling below for the best pairings.

1. Brooks & Dunn

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn came into the country music scene in 1991. Their debut album, Brand New Man, shot them to fame with four straight No. 1 hits.

Since then, they have remained among country music’s most popular touring acts and the best-selling country duo of all time. They’ve also amassed a truckload of music-industry honors – this includes prizes from Academy Of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association awards, and of course, the Grammy Awards. As a matter of fact, they won eight straight nods as Country Music Association Vocal Duo of the Year.

2. Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty

Of course, who could ever forget Lynn and Twitty’s onstage banter and song interpretation that’s beyond compare? The iconic duo’s chemistry could weave like a dream – from comedy to pain and misery, to a love ballad and back again. Their stage personas even caused many fans to wonder if they shared a real-life romance. Some even thought they were married. But their bond never went past friendship and music.

Still, their strong artistic connection was enough to release eleven studio albums and a series of hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

3. Florida Georgia Line

Florida Georgia Line came across countless of dreamlike moments for nearly a decade since the release of “Cruise,” a track that broke records and helped turn over the country music industry.

With their unique sound, the country duo released a string of successful albums and significantly influenced the genre’s culture and direction.

4. The Everly Brothers

Phil and Don Everly were the sons of country-western duo Ike and Margaret Everly. The brothers started playing on country radio by the time they were seven.

They enjoyed the height of their popularity in the late 50s and 60s, with nearly three dozen chart hits – making them one of Billboard chart’s biggest duos.

5. Dan + Shay

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney have been entertaining fans, pleasing listeners, and overall, taken the world by storm with their lyrical storytelling talent and pitch-perfect harmonies ever since they met in 2012. Their musical partnership resulted in dozens of hit songs – not only for themselves but also for other artists.

6. Maddie & Tae

Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye set their career in motion in a big way! They introduced themselves to the country world with their smash country radio hit, “Girl in a Country Song,” which is a perfect blend of humor, attitude, and bold messaging – calling out hits that objectified women. The duo is making it clear that they’re here to bring a new kind of music to the genre.

7. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill fell in love on the road when Hill joined McGraw’s tour as an opening act in 1996. By the end of the year, the two would be married and spent decades performing together and recording some of the biggest and most impactful songs in country music.

8. Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers

The two country icons graced us with their musical magic in 1983 with the release of the debut duet, “Islands In The Stream.” Since then, Parton and Rogers frequently joined their distinctive voices for tours and duets that range from holiday standards to classic wedding songs.

9. Johnny Cash and June Carter

Johnny Cash and June Carter did not only become one of country music’s best-loved superstar couples, with a love story that rose above the highs and lows of fame – but they’re also one of the most powerful country duos, releasing hit crossover songs.

10. Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton

Perhaps the most well-loved duos in country music history, Wagoner and Parton enjoyed a successful tandem at The Porter Wagoner Show. In addition to that, the country icons released thirteen albums together with tracks that range from upbeat love ballads to heart-tugging songs.

Although the duo parted ways in 1974 amid conflict and fighting, Wagoner and Parton made peace and reunited later in life.

Other Country Duos That Prove Two Is Better Than One
