Nominees for the 62nd Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday morning, with Tanya Tucker leading among country performers and Eric Church, Ashley McBryde, and Dan + Shay all picking up multiple nominations in the country categories.
Tucker’s 2019 album While I’m Livin’ was a big favorite for voters, earning the singer a Best Country Album nomination. The album’s centerpiece, “Bring My Flowers Now,” found its way into multiple fields, including Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song, a nomination Tucker shares with her co-writers Brandi Carlile, Tim Hanseroth, and Phil Hanseroth.
“Bring My Flowers Now” also received an all-genre nomination for Song of the Year, where it will compete with entries including Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” and Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts.”
Carlile, who led nominations at last year’s Awards, came away with three more this time: two for her work on Tucker’s “Bring My Flowers Now” and one for Best Country Duo/Group Performance nod for her Maren Morris collaboration “Common.”
Billy Ray Cyrus also received three nominations, all outside the country fields, for his appearance on Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.”
Dan + Shay continued their victory lap from their self-titled third album, with the hit “Speechless” picking up nominations Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song.

Ashley McBryde, a CMA Award winner for New Artist of the Year saw her biographical “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” gets dual recognition for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.

Eric Church was another double nominee, with his Desperate Man, a candidate for Best Country Album, and the song “Some of It” which is up for Best Country Song.
Miranda Lambert rounded out the country artists with two nominees, sharing a nomination with her Pistol Annies bandmates as their Interstate Gospel is up for Best Country Album and her current single “It All Comes Out in the Wash” is up for Best Country Song.
Among the Americana categories, British singer-songwriter Yola reigned supreme. Also an all-genre Best New Artist nominee, Yola scored nominations for Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song for “Faraway Look.”
Walk Through Fire, Yola’s 2019 release that was produced by Dan Auerbach, was nominated for Best Americana Album. Calexico’s collaboration with Iron & Wine, Years to Burn, got the group a nomination for Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Performance for “Father Mountain.”
Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Lil Nas X lead all nominees for the 62nd Grammy Awards, which will air January 26th on CBS.
