The 2022 CMA Awards for Vocal Duo of the Year has been once again won by the Brothers Osborne. They bested Brooks & Dunn, Dan + Shay, LOCASH, and Maddie & Tae. This was their fifth win on the category, rallying behind the seven wins of The Judds

In their acceptance speech, T.J. Osborne said that winning the award in the presence of Wynonna was one of the highlights of his life. John Osborne, on the other hand, took the moment to shout-out two new members of the Osborne family. That is, his wife Lucy is pregnant with twins.

Later in the show, the winning vocal duo shared the stage with husband and wife duo The War and Treaty, Michael and Tanya Trotter, to perform The Rolling Stones’ 1975 hit “It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (But I Like It)” as a tribute to the band. Prior to the performance, Luke Bryan announced that both vocal duos would be featured on the upcoming tribute album to the 60th anniversary of The Rolling Stones.

Brothers Osborne is also set to release a new album in 2023, a follow-up to their 2020 album Skeletons.

The 56th annual CMA Awards night was held in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning as the evening’s hosts.
